Lens-based performance to explore the correlations between power and labor in postcolonial contexts. An eagle attached to a flag-mop is transformed into a foreign bird that flies over Art Omi Campus, cleaning its spaces within a contradictory environment between oppression and freedom. As a site-specific work, the video interacts with several pieces of the sculpture park; such as “Somos 11 Millones / We are 11 Million” by Andrea Bowers, acknowledging the workforce of undocumented immigrants in the US.
